The Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Program will observe the 69th anniversary of the signing of the Executive Order 9066 through a presentation of “442: Live with Honor, Die with Dignity.” A discussion with its director, Junichi Suzuki will follow the screening. The film narrates the history and legacy of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team (RCT), the most decorated U.S. Regiment during World War II through archival footage and interviews with surviving veterans. This will be a free showing.
