The Japanese Cultural Center of Hawai‘i (JCCH), 2454 S. Beretania St., Honolulu, will host its annual Children’s Day festival featuring interactive educational family-friendly event including a cultural carnival, live interactive martial arts, taiko, and hands-on cultural demonstrations for kids, mascots (including Hello Kitty), youth performances, screenings from Nippon Golden Network (NGN) of “Okaasan to Issho,” “Doraemon” and “Anpan Man,” prize giveaways, children kimono dressing and food. Admission is free and open to the public. The festivities begin at 10 a.m. Keiki Kimono Dressing is $60 (JCCH member); $75 (non-member) and includes dressing by Masako Formals staff, use of kimono and accessories and the portrait sitting fee with King Photo Service, Inc.
