“Kintsukuroi” will screen from 1 to 5 p.m. at The Sophia, Home of B Street Theatre at 2700 Capitol Ave. in Sacramento, Calif. “Follow the lines of two Japanese American families from their homes in San Francisco and the Central Valley to the incarceration sites in the American West and the battlefields of Europe. This full-length film chronicles their stories as they struggle to pick up the pieces of their shattered lives in the aftermath of WWII events and Executive Order 9066.” Q&A with cast/crew after the film: Writer, director and executive producer, Kerwin Berk, videographer Ben Arikawa. Main lead actors, Ryan Takemiya, Kealani Kilauea, Ken Takeda, Kiyomi Koide, Ron Munekawa and Chizu Omori are expected to attend as well. A panel discussion before the film: Two members of the Wakasa Memorial Committee will discuss the murder of James Wakasa as the Topaz, Utah incarceration site, the rock memorial created by the prisoners that was recently discovered, and the current status of the memorial.” Street parking (free on Sunday) and at Sutter Community Garage.
