The J. Paul Getty Museum at the Getty Center in L.A. will present the first survey of Felice Beato’s photography career, which covered a wide geographic area—from the Middle East to Southeast Asia. Beato’s photography was the first glimpse for many into newly opened countries such as India, China, Japan, Korea, and Burma.
