The Japanese American Cultural and Community Center, 244 South San Pedro St., L.A., will hold its annual dinner and fundraiser “Raising the Curtain” at 5:30 p.m. The event will be black-tie optional, cocktail attire, and honors the Japan Business Association with the Pacific Pioneer Award. The dinner will also recognize “Futures” campaign donors, the Aratani Foundation, Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Los Angeles, Dr. Takeo Uesugi, and others.
