The Japanese American National Museum will host Bill Staples Jr., author of “Kenichi Zenimura, Japanese American Baseball Pioneer,” from 2 to 4 p.m. at 100 North Central Ave. in LA’s Little Tokyo. A talented player who excelled at all nine positions, Kenichi Zenimura was also a respected manager, who became the Japanese American community’s baseball ambassador. He promoted the game at home and abroad. The biography of the “Father of Japanese American Baseball” provides a thorough and fascinating account of Zenimura’s life. Free with museum admission.
