The Japanese American National Museum will host its Oshogatsu Family Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 100 North Central Ave. in LA’s Little Tokyo. Attendees can learn how to make rice balls, taste osechi ryori (traditional Japanese New Year’s food), and watch a mochitsuki (rice cake-pounding ceremony) demonstration and performance by Kodama Taiko, and enjoy other highlights.
