Visual Communications in association with the Japanese American National Museum will present its first annual animation film festival at 369 East First St. in L.A.’s Little Tokyo. This day-long event, “POW! WHIZ! BAM!,” will include an intimate showcase with local animators; ICE, a sci-fi post-apocalyptic lesbian Romeo and Juliet; and “Trigun: Badlands Rumble,” the classic Japanese shoot-em-up caper now re-imagined as a feature film.
