LA: “Moment of Remembrance” for northern Japan victims

The Japanese American National Museum, 369 East First St. in L.A.’s Little Tokyo, will hold a “Moment of Remembrance” event at 2:30 p.m. to honor the victims of the March 11 disasters that occurred in Northeastern Japan. The gathering will include brief remarks by the Rev. Noriaki Ito of Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple and the Rev. Mark Nakagawa of Centenary United Methodist Church. The ceremony will conclude with a moment of silence at 2:46 p.m., the time in Japan on March 11 when the earthquake struck off the east coast of Japan. Info: (213) 625-0414.
