The Japanese American National Museum’s “The Desire for Magic: Patrick Nagatani” exhibit features 30 years of the artist’s work, and is on display at 100 North Central Ave. in LA’s Little Tokyo. The exhibit includes his collaborations, staged photographs, collages and multimedia pieces. “Desire for Magic” was curated by University of New Mexico’s University Art Museum and curator Michele Penhallm and also depicts a wide range of themes, including popular culture and the environment. The museum gallery is open everyday except Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission: $9 adults; $5 seniors (age 62 and older), students with ID and youth, ages 6 to 17; free for members as well as children 5 and under.
