The 2012 Japanese American National Museum Gala Dinner & Silent Auction — “Transforming a Forgotten Story” will take place at JW Marriott Hotel at L.A. Live, 900 West Olympic Blvd., LA. With a special tribute to Norman Y. Mineta, former U.S. Secretary of Transportation, in recognition of his continuing fight for civil rights, including the critical leadership role that he played on and after 9/11. 5 p.m. – Silent Auction & Seafood Reception, 7 p.m. – Gala Dinner & Program, 10 p.m. – After-Party, an opportunity to network with friends and colleagues following the close of the formal Dinner Program.
