‘LIFE LINES Creative Writing Workshop’

28 Sep

Tureeda Mikell, a “story medicine woman, poet, educator and … Black Panther Alum,” and Japanese American Shizue Seigel, founder of Write Now! SF Bay, will host “LIFE LINES Creative Writing Workshop” from 2 to 4 p.m. at Medicine for Nightmares at 3036-24th St. in S.F. “Mikell and … Seigel share their experiences through poetry before leading participants in creative writing exercises. We’ll end with an opportunity share work. In their youth, Tureeda and Shizue experienced very different but traumatic encounters with the mental health system. Their healing journeys took them across cultures and continents to tap the wellsprings of spirituality and find their life’s work.” https://shorturl.at/iPn9e.
