‘My Lost Freedom: A Japanese American World War II Story’ book event

Author, George Takei, and illustrator, Michelle Lee, will hold “a reading, conversation, and signing of their new children’s book, ‘My Lost Freedom: A Japanese American World War II Story,’ a moving and true story about growing up in Japanese American concentration camps during World War II,” from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Japanese American National Museum at 100 North Central Ave. in L.A.’s Little Tokyo. Cost: Adults $16, seniors, students and youth: $9, includes museum admission. Museum members free.
