The Concord Diablo Japanese American Summer Festival will take place from 1 to 9 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Concord Japanese American Religious and Cultural Center, 3165 Treat Boulevard in Concord, Calif. There will be free parking available at Ygnacio Valley High School at 755 Oak Grove Road in Concord with a free shuttle to the Festival. There will be taiko, judo, kendo and Ikenobo demonstrations.
