Principal dancer of the internationally-renowned Japanese drumming ensemble Kodo, Chieko Kojima, will teach Ganke, a variation of Nishimonai Bon Odori from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at. RhythMix Cultural Works, 2513 Blanding Ave. in Alameda, Calif. The workshop will be simple enough for beginners to learn some of the fundamental body movement of Japanese dance, and a variation of interest to more experienced dancers.
