The Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California (JCCCNC) will launch their Nikkei Family Legacy Project from 1 to 3 p.m. at 1840 Sutter St. in SF’s Japantown. Attendees will be able to learn about the process of obtaining their family’s koseki (family registry from Japan), and hear from experts in the field of genealogy at the free event. Participants will also gain access to Ancestry.com throughout the event and have an opportunity to look at others’ family history books.
