“Something’s Gonna Live” will be screened at the Menlo Atherton Performing Arts Center, 555 Middlefield Rd., Atherton, Calif. at 7 p.m. Daniel Raim’s poignant film features classic Hollywood cinema artists who may not be household names, but whose films are among the best known works in American cinema. Among the artists is Albert Nozaki, who worked on “War of the Worlds” and “The Ten Commandments.” Nozaki was fired from Paramount Pictures hours after the attacks on Pearl Harbor and was sent to the Manzanar, Calif. incarceration camp. After the war, he returned to Paramount where he spent the entirety of his film career. The event will begin with live jazz with the Jym Marks Quartet. Raim will hold a Q & A. The event is free, but reservations are required. Info: (650) 330-2512 or rlroth@menlopark.org.
