The National Japanese American Historical Society will sponsor a luncheon and program from noon to 2:30 p.m. at the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California, 1840 Sutter St. (between Buchanan and Webster Streets), in S.F.’s Japantown. The event will honor Nikkei vets who were members of the 100th Infantry Battalion, 442nd Regimental Combat Team and the Military Intelligence Service. Veterans, families and friends who attended the events in Washington, D.C. will also be able to share photographs, clips and stories of the historic event. Other Nikkei veterans, family members and friends are invited to attend the luncheon.
