Oak: “Rampei Goes Insane” (Rampei Monogurui) film screening

The JETAANC Kabuki Club will present a screening of the Kabuki drama, “Rampei Goes Insane” (Rampei Monogurui), (83 min., Japanese, with English translation) at 2 p.m. at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center (OACC), Pacific Renaissance Plaza, 388 Ninth St., 2nd Floor, Oakland, Calif. Every time a sword is drawn, Rampei, a soldier, goes into a frenzy, in the film, a mix of action, comedy and historical drama. Free and open to the public. The OACC is co-sponsoring the event.
