The 45th annual “Otsukimi – Moon Viewing Festival” will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Lakeside Park Garden Center, 666 Bellevue Ave. Oakland, Calif. (off Grand at Children’s Fairyland). The event is free, but bento dinners will be available for $15 (prepaid, with checks received by Oct. 1, OFSCA, P.O. Box 13022 Oakland CA 94661-3022). Highlights: performances by the student delegates for the Asian Pacific Children’s Convention & High School Exchange, Ensohza (Japanese folk dancing) and Jiten Taiko.
