The Portland Ikebana Chapter will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a special exhibit in the Japanese Garden Pavilion, 611 SW Kingston Ave., Portland, Ore., beginning at 10 a.m. Arrangements representing five major schools of ikebana, including Ikenobo, Ohara, Ryusei-ha, Saga Goryu and Sogetsu, will be on view, including an arrangement by visiting Japanese Master Tetsunori Kawana of the Sogetsu School, an arrangement honoring the Chapter Founder, Mildred Schnitzer and arrangements by past presidents and master teachers.
