Palo Alto: JCCCNC annual track meet

The Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California (JCCCNC) will host its annual track meet at Gunn High School Track, 780 Arastradero Road, Palo Alto, Calif. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., and the meet at 9 a.m. Athletes of all ages are welcome to participate at the event. This year, nonprofits are invited to compete in the “Battle of the Orgs.” Teams of four will face off in a dizzy bat race, three-legged race, potato sack race and 50-meter dash in zori (flip-flops). Participants must pre-register in order to participate. Participants are encouraged to bring their favorite dish to share at the picnic lunch. Participants should bring their own plates, utensils, napkins and drinks. Entry fee is $15 per person.
