John Marshall, an internationally known textile artist of natural fibers and fashion designer will lead a discussion on the role tattoos have played in Japanese culture since earliest times, at the Asian Community Center (ACC), 7375 Park City Drive, Sacramento, from 2 to 4 p.m. The event will focus on the art form’s historical uses and influences on the Western world.
