Salinas Day of Remembrance

Program: “Hold These Truths: The Journey of Gordon Hirabayashi”

There will be a presentation of “Hold These Truths: the Journey of Gordon Hirabayashi” (formerly “Dawn’s Light”), a play written by Jeanne Sakata and performed by Ryun Yu at the 2011 Day of Remembrance Observance at the Salinas Community Center. The event will start by meeting at 1:30 p.m. at the Salinas Assembly Center’s historical marker, next to the Japanese American Memorial Garden, weather permitting. The public is welcome to this free event. Light refreshments will be served.
