The Shiko Kai California Kayo Show will feature special guests, the San Jose Chidori Band at the Bayside Performing Arts Center located at 2025 Kehoe Ave, San Mateo, Calif. at 1 p.m. Formed in 1953 to fulfill a need for Japanese Americans returning to the San Jose area after World War II, the band has its own unique style specializing in traditional enka and J-pop music. There is no set cost to the public, but a $15 donation is requested.
