The Eloise Pickard Smith Gallery at Cowell College will host Lucien Kubo’s “Personal Memory, Public History” and “Untold Journey” by the University of California, Santa Cruz’s “The Nagamine Project.” Kubo’s work explores her Issei grandparent’s journey to America and their life afterward, as well as her feelings on nuclear war. “The Nagamine Project” follows Akira Nagamine, a former-Japanese soldier who survived seven years in Manchuria after World War II. The gallery is located at Cowell College within the University of California, Santa Cruz. The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays to Sundays. Info: (831) 459-2953.
