SF: “A Place of Her Own” exhibit closes

The Asian American Women Artists Association and API Cultural Center’s United States of Asian America Festival presents “A Place of Her Own,” an art exhibit of works by Asian American women artists that answers the question, “If you had a place of your own, what would it be?” at the SOMArts Cultural Center, 934 Brannan St. in SF. An artists’ talk will be held Saturday, May 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. The artists will discuss the thought process behind their work. The artists will hold a reading Thursday, May 19 from 7 to 9 p.m. The closing reception will be held Thursday, May 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. Admission to the exhibition and the programs are complimentary.
