The Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California will hold a “Cooking from the Heart Series: Cook and Book” event with Alice Kawahatsu from 4 to 7 p.m. at 1840 Sutter St. in SF’s Japantown. Participants will create their own bento by making onigiri, Spam musubi, Hawaiian-style takuan and more. The class is geared toward 6-10 year olds who must be accompanied by an adult supervisor.
