GenRyu Arts will perform “Fox and Jewel,” a modern retelling of a Japanese fox myth in support of Japantown, at the Dance Mission Theater 3316 24th St., SF. Taiko artist/dancer/choreographer Melody Takata, poet and writer Ravi Chandra, actor/comedian Todd Nakagawa, shamisen/taiko/jazz artist Tatsu Aoki, composer/jazz artist Francis Wong, the GenRyu Arts cast, filmmaker Adebukola Bodunrin and lighting designer Patty Ann Farrell, will present an evening of music, poetry, animation and drama.
