SF: Japanese kite making workshop

The Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco, together with the International Association of Tako Age and the San Francisco Public Library, will host the Japanese Kite Making Workshop at the San Francisco Public Library, Children’s Center, 2nd Floor, 100 Larkin St. in SF from 1 to 2:30 p.m. (1st session) and 3 to 4:30 p.m. (2nd session). Instructors will teach participants how to make a traditional Japanese kite with Japanese paper and a bamboo frame. The program is free and open to the public, and suited for children ages 7 and up who are accompanied by an adult. Space is limited. Info: (415) 356-2412 or cul@cgjsf.org.
