Halloween Carnival at the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at 1840 Sutter St. in S.F.’s Japantown. There will be games and prizes, tricks and treats, arts and crafts and goodies to eat. An Early Bat Dinner featuring salad, spaghetti, and garlic bread will be served from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Reservations for the dinner are required. The cost is $5 per person at the door.
