Kokoro Assisted Living’s annual “Cooking From the Heart” event will be held at 1881 Bush St. in S.F.’s Japantown at 1 p.m. This year’s event features Chef Kunihiko Oshikawa of Kyo-ya Sushi Restaurant in the Palace Hotel, Nombe chef Mari Takahashi, her husband, Gil Payne, a sake sommelier, and Chef Taka Nagamine of Kokoro will participate.
