The Mary Sano Studio of Duncan Dancing will celebrate Isadora Duncan’s 134th birthday with its annual Dionysian Festival at 45 Fifth St., Studio 314, SF (between Howard and Folsom). Mary Sano and Her Duncan Dancers will perform Chopin, Gluck, Schubert, ongoing work on the Kanrin Maru Project, including Sano’s new work inspired by her experience being in Japan during the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. Other artists and collaborators will perform: SotoMotion (improvisational movement theater) directed by G. Hoffman Soto, Tony Chapman on Piano, Hideo on Japanese flute, and Rebecca Whittington (classical Indian dance) directed by Arul Francis. Tickets: $16 in advance, $18 at the door.
