SF: Nihonmachi Asian American Film Retrospective

The Nihonmachi Asian American Film Retrospective, which will screen a selection of films, will be held at Viz Cinema, 1746 Post St. in San Francisco’s Japantown, with screenings beginning at 2 p.m. The following films will be screened: Burt Takeuchi’s “Valor With Honor,” Emiko Omori’s “Rabbit In the Moon,” Omori’s “Ed Hardy: Tattoo the World,” Curtis Choy’s “The Fall of the I Hotel” and Linda Hattendorf’s “The Cats of Mirikitani.” Omori and Takeuchi will be on hand to answer audience questions about their films. The cost for each film screening is $10. Partial proceeds from the festival will go to the Nichi Bei Foundation, publishers of the nonprofit Nichi Bei Weekly.
