SF: The Mi-Kumano Multilingual Guide Association will host a presentation on guided eco-tourism

The Mi-Kumano Multilingual Guide Association will host a presentation on guided eco-tourism in the UNESCO World Heritage area of Kumano, Japan, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Japan Information Center, 50 Fremont St., Suite 2200, in S.F. Bilingual guides from Japan will introduce the Kumano Kodo, a network of ancient pilgrimage route trails connecting three grand shrines, and explain how guided eco-tourism benefits the local communities. Slideshow presentation, and speakers will discuss the area’s history. There will also be a Q-and-A-format session after the presentations. Kumano is located south of Kyoto.
