The Sogetsu Bay Area Branch will hold its 39th New Year’s luncheon at noon at Yoshi’s Japanese Restaurant in San Francisco, 1330 Fillmore St. (at Eddy). Koto master Shirley Kazuyo Muramoto and her son Brian Mitsuhiro Wong will provide the entertainment. A raffle will also be held. Yoshi’s chef Sho Kamio, a shining star among the San Francisco culinary scene, will cook the meal. Reservations must have been made before Jan. 15.
