The Japanese American Museum of San Jose will host a free writing workshop from 1 to 4 p.m. at the museum’s Community Room, 535 North Fifth St. in Japantown. Brian Komei Dempster will facilitate the “Collecting Nisei Stories: An Intergenerational Writing Workshop on Wartime Incarceration and Post-War Resettlement,” which will focus on the Nisei concentration camp experience — both the wartime incarceration and post-war resettlement. Participants must RSVP by Sunday, March 11, by contacting Jill Shiraki at (510) 277-2164 or e-mail jshiraki@sbcglobal.net. Details will be sent once the reservation has been confirmed.
