Yu-Ai Kai Japanese American Community Senior Service will host Sake San Jose from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in San Jose’s Japantown. The opening ceremony and registration will be held at 5 p.m., the sake tasting will begin at 5:30 p.m., and will be held on Jackson Street between Third and Seventh Streets. Participants will visit a variety of businesses and restaurants, with each having different types of sake at special tables. “Small plates” will be offered to accompany the sake. Sake experts will be available to offer information about the different sake being tasted. Tickets bought in advance: $40, $50 at the event. Tickets for the Akiyama Premium Sake Tasting cost $80.
