The Japanese American National Museum (JANM) and Visual Communications (VC) will co-present the event entitled “Alternative Projections: Experimental Film in Los Angeles, 1945-1980: Visual Communications” at the Downtown Independent Theater, 251 South Main Street, LA at 2 p.m. The program highlights the documentary-focused early years VC, an organization created by a group of visionary Asian American filmmakers, educators, and activists from the EthnoCommunications program.
