The 10th annual “Evening of Aloha, “presented by the Go For Broke National Education Center, will take place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, 9876 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills, Calif. This year’s gala will honor the segregated units that served during World War II and have received the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest civilian award honored in the United States. The honorees include the 100th Infantry Battalion, the 442nd Regimental Combat Team and the Military Intelligence Service members who will be awarded the Congressional Gold Medal days prior to the event, as well as the Tuskegee Airmen and Navajo Code Talkers who were awarded the medal in 2007.
