“Ties That Bind,” a conference focused on the future of the Nikkei community, will be held at the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center, 244 South San Pedro St., in LA’s Little Tokyo, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will focus on the next generation of leadership for the community’s institutions. Current leaders will participate in the discussions on issues facing the community. Registration is $25 or $15 for students. Fees include lunch and refreshments.
