Japanese American Association of New York

Since 1907, the JAANY has been the heart of the Japanese community in New York. It provides bilingual social services, educational programs, and community outreach. The organization shares Japanese culture through an annual Sakura Matsuri in April at Flushing Meadows Corona Park and a Tanabata Festival in early July at Riverside Park, and leads projects such as the New York Japanese American Oral History Project.
