Japanese Garden at Descanso Gardens

The garden “blends design elements of classic tea, strolling and Zen gardens” with an arched bridge, shaded paths, a koi-filled stream and the Full Moon Tea House. The plant collection consists of Japanese maples, azaleas, bamboo and other Asian plants. Hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily (closed on Christmas Day). Check the Website for summer hours. Tickets must be reserved and purchased on the Website, which includes windows of entry into the garden. Cost: $15 for adults, $11 for seniors (65 and older) and students with ID, $5 for children (5-12 years old). Free for children 4 years and younger.
