The garden aims to “immerse visitors in rich layers of Japanese culture and heritage through diverse garden landscape designs (courtyard gardens, Zen garden, roji koi pond garden), production of traditional Japanese festivals, ceremonies, and performing arts, museum and art gallery exhibitions, and educational workshops and classes, as well as to provide a haven of greenery and tranquility for the Tucson community.” Hours of operation: Thursdays through Saturdays, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Sundays, from noon to 5 p.m. Closed Mondays through Wednesdays, Thanksgiving Day, Dec. 24-25 and 31 and New Year’s Day. Adults: $13, Seniors (65-plus): $10, Students and Military (w/ID): $9, Children 3-15: $6, Children 2 and under: Free.
