San Jose Taiko will host a public workshop from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 730 The Alameda, San Jose for taiko enthusiasts to learn taiko basics. “After hearing a brief history of taiko, participants learn a song based on fundamental stance, rhythms, and technique. No taiko experience is necessary, but participants must be at least 15 years old and capable of fairly rigorous physical activity.” Info/register: $73.50 per participant ($70 registration fee + $3.50 processing fee).  Enrollment is limited to 15 participants per workshop: https://www.taikoconservatory.org/publicworkshop.
