Japanese American Museum of San Jose (JAMsj)

Established in 1987, the Japanese American Museum of San Jose (JAMsj) began as a 1984-86 research project on Japanese American farmers in the Santa Clara Valley, which led to the development of a curriculum unit on Japanese American history for San Jose schools. In 2006 JAMsj tore down its building and subsequently opened its current museum at the same location.
