“With its waterfalls, bridges, and stone paths that wander among
crepe myrtles, azaleas, Japanese maples, dogwoods, and cherry
trees, the Japanese Garden is a peaceful hideaway in Houston’s
Hermann Park. The garden was designed by world-renowned
landscape architect Ken Nakajima, and uses natural materials
such as rock, wood, and plants, to give a feeling of serenity.”
Hours: March 1 through Oct. 31: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Nov. 1 through
Feb. 28: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost: Free.
